First Ever Georgetown Community Roll Bike Ride

Coming in May in Conjunction with the 40th Annual Horsey Hundred

The Bluegrass Cycling Club is teaming up with the City of Georgetown and the Georgetown Scott County Tourism Office to offer the first ever Georgetown Community Roll. The Community Roll will be held on Saturday, May 27th in conjunction with the 40th Annual Horsey Hundred. The Community Roll will begin at the same place as the Horsey Hundred - Giddings Circle on the campus of Georgetown College. Details are as follows:

  • 3.1 mile course in downtown Georgetown with closed roads
  • Police officers on bikes will accompany the riders and one of the bicycle officers will provide a safety talk before the ride
  • Registration begins at 10 am with the ride departing at 11 am
  • All participants will have the opportunity for a chance to win a bike - We will have 1 adult bike and 2 kids bikes, along with helmets!
  • Parking close to the event start will be reserved for participants in the Community Roll
  • Prior to the ride, there will be face painting, a selfie/photo booth, and balloon animals, along with a DJ providing music and encouragement
  • Georgetown Parks & Recreation will provide water and fruit before the ride
